Our company grew out of our passion for great coffee and tea.

We grew up in Seattle, immersed in the city’s coffee and food culture. Long before the term “third wave coffee” existed, we were on a quest for great beans and quality brewing. On weekends we sought out roasters and crafted coffee at home. Work days, we sought out barristas downtown who were making coffee with passion and precision. Yet, when we ordered a coffee to go, we were painfully aware that putting a lid on our drink greatly diminished our much-anticipated experience. This realization led us to begin experimenting to design a better way to take our coffee on-the-go

Our conviction that there was a better way unleashed a scientific curiosity and a maniacal focus and led to years of researching fluid dynamics, evaluating mainstream and alternative plastics, reading research papers on smell and taste, assessing advanced manufacturing technologies, prototyping, and conducting round after round of testing. The result of all this work is the Viora Lid – and a growing collection of patents and patents pending.

After all these years focused on designing a superior lid, we are now manufacturing that lid in the U.S.A. Finally, anyone who is passionate about their coffee or tea can enjoy their beverage when they’re on-the-go—just as we dreamed about so many years ago.
